HOW MAY I BE OF SERVICE?
Some examples of how I may be of help to you.
You have need of a doctor to visit you as it is too difficult to get out of the house. You would like me to be an extension of your own primary care physician, communicating back to your him or her what I think you may need.
You have a complicated medical question that requires more careful research in the current medical literature. The material is too confusing for you and having a physician who is able to do and be comfortable with this type of research would be helpful.
You just need some reassurance that where you are at is "OK" and would like an independent review by someone outside of your usual care team.
You have a complicated health history, perhaps through many care providers and hospital settings and would want someone to carefully review what you have been through and what it means in plain English.
You are on a lot of medications and you are concerned about what you need, don't need and how you may be adversely affected by pharmaceuticals. Or you take a lot of supplements and don't know if they help.
CONFUSING BODY SYMPTOMS
You have a lot of physical symptoms or sensations that no one seems to help you understand. You have been told by your medical care providers that you are "fine" but something in your body keeps coming up, making you feel otherwise. Or you have not been given a diagnosis yet and feel stuck in unclarity about your situation.
Long term use of benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, Valium) and "Z-drugs" (Ambien, Sonata) are problematic, often inducing the very symptoms they are supposed to treat. Perhaps you have wanted to stop taking them but found it too difficult to do, with little support. You would like to know what to do, where to go, and how to proceed.
ANXIETY HELP WITHOUT DRUGS
You would like to explore non-pharmacologic ways to manage anxiety and want support and direction. You would like to know more about meditative or body-oriented practices but they are just too hard to do on your own. You are interested in knowing how to develop your internal self-regulation system, helping to calm your central nervous system.
